What You'll Do
Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV
Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis
Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based)
Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers
Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations
Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions
Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field
Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams
Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements

Requirements
NETA Level IV Certification
NICET Certification
Experience with SF6 breaker maintenance
Power systems engineering or related degree
Prior leadership/supervisory experience on testing projects
Experience in data center, utility, or industrial critical power environments
The anticipated salary range for this role in the CA, Cleveland- OH, CO, CT, NYC, MA, ME, MD, NJ, HI, IL, MN, VA, VT, Washington D.C localities are between $154,709 to $198,000 per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer details. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
