We are seeking a motivated and proactive Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Product Architecture & Standards team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical systems, product architecture, engineering standards, and new product development. The successful candidate will support the development and continuous improvement of the Product Architecture Playbook (PAP), helping capture engineering best practices, lessons learned, and technical requirements that improve consistency and efficiency across Vertiv's IT infrastructure portfolio.
Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Product Architecture Playbook (PAP)
Assist in capturing and documenting electrical engineering best practices, design requirements, lessons learned, and technical standards from product development projects
Collaborate with engineers across Product Lines and Business Units to gather technical feedback and identify opportunities for standardization and reuse
Support reviews of electrical architectures, system designs, and technical solutions to promote alignment with established engineering guidelines
Conduct technical research and benchmarking related to industry standards, power distribution, system integration, and emerging technologies
Assist in developing engineering documentation, guidance materials, presentations, and technical reports
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives that support future New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) programs
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, electrical components, or system integration principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience with electrical design or analysis software is a plus
