Job Description
A Senior Security Engineer - Red Team responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening the security posture of Insider's AI-driven customer engagement platform through proactive testing and security assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct red team security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the company's systems and infrastructure.
- Simulate cyberattack scenarios to test defenses and improve security posture.
- Analyze security gaps and recommend remediation strategies to enhance overall cybersecurity defenses.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Security Engineer in Red Team or similar role, with a strong understanding of offensive security techniques and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, exploit, and remediate security vulnerabilities in complex systems and networks.
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security auditing across various platforms and environments.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security controls, and attack vectors, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or similar to develop and automate security tools and exploits.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices, including OWASP, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ability to analyze security logs, network traffic, and system behavior to detect and respond to security threats and incidents.
- Experience with security tools such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), vulnerability scanners, and exploitation frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically about security challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly document findings, prepare reports, and communicate security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Physical ability to perform security assessments and penetration tests that may require working in various environments, including potentially confined or sensitive areas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
