Job Description
A Senior Product Manager at Insider is responsible for guiding the vision and development of innovative customer experience and marketing products, leveraging data, research, and strategic thinking to create impactful solutions and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, socially progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and communicate the vision for the product family.
- Use data, research, strategy, and empathy to guide development and design teams.
- Make decisions on product features, releases, and innovations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve products.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to inform product decisions.
- Motivate and inspire team members to follow the product vision.
- Identify and solve complex problems related to product development.
- Take ownership of product outcomes and continuously seek opportunities for innovation.
Requirements
- Experience in setting the vision for a growing family of products and guiding development and design teams toward a common goal using data, research, strategy, and empathy.
- Ability to make decisions and set direction while motivating and inspiring people around you to follow you in that direction (leadership skills).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to transmit complex information to different audiences clearly and to gather information from many sources to make better-informed decisions.
- Natural-born problem solver, finding solutions to complex problems, motivated and excited by problem-solving, and able to feel a sense of accomplishment when solving problems.
- Ability to work easily with people around you, help them when needed, give or take constructive feedback despite personal conflicts (teamwork skills).
- Strong listening skills, capable of gathering information from various sources to improve products and services.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, and continuous improvement, actively seeking out change rather than waiting to adapt.
- Willingness to take risks, see the big picture, and seek new opportunities for innovation, taking ownership and pride in your work.
