Job Description
The Senior Operations Manager at U.S. Energy Foundation is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and collaboration within the organization by managing projects, overseeing budget and contract administration, and facilitating stakeholder engagement. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to drive strategic alignment and improve processes across the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support multiple projects from initiation to completion.
- Standardize, refine, and implement systems for project management.
- Drive internal planning processes and support strategic alignment.
- Manage annual operational planning and provide training for staff.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and support initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries and updates.
- Coordinate and manage virtual and in-person meetings.
- Research, document, and share lessons learned and best practices.
- Develop, track, and report on operational key performance indicators.
- Prepare high-quality written materials for internal and external audiences.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of contract management.
- Monitor and manage the division's budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or operations management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects to successful completion in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience synthesizing and distilling complex information into concise, polished products tailored to diverse audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills, preferably in a Mac environment.
- Fluency in project management tools and methods, with experience creating and managing workflows in collaborative platforms like Asana, Google Drive, or Box.
- Proven experience managing budgets, including reconciliation.
- Successful track record of organizing and facilitating meetings and events, including virtual and in-person settings.
- High cultural competence and emotional intelligence, with experience leading or contributing to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Ability to travel three to four times a year for three to four business days at a time.
- Ability to spend extended hours at the computer.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation: $175,500 for metro areas and $157,500 for other areas
