A skilled Automation Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems in manufacturing to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity, while applying Lean principles and collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean practices to reduce waste and standardize operations
Identify and implement automation opportunities to optimize workflow and increase productivity
Design, configure, and maintain automated systems to enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure sustainable process improvements
Monitor and evaluate system performance to meet quality and cost objectives
Document process changes, maintain operational standards, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automation, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in industrial machine design, with electronics industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software for machine design and manufacturing drawings.
Strong practical knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Deep understanding of industrial automation equipment, electrical systems, and motion control.
Functional programming skills in Mitsubishi PLC and/or ABB Robotics.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams.
Competent in reading technical manuals and communicating effectively in English.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment for an 8-hour day, 48-hour week, and handle work in a busy setting.
Willingness to work in a good environment with air conditioning and to travel on business trips as required.
