Job Description
The Manufacturing Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and deploys full-stack web-based software tools for manufacturing operations, ensuring performance, usability, and integration with production workflows while providing user support and troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web-based manufacturing software tools and systems.
- Document manufacturing software tools and systems clearly and effectively.
- Provide training and user support for developed solutions.
- Troubleshoot devices and equipment supporting manufacturing software tools and systems.
- Lead and track progress of new projects, change requests, and their rollout.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software tools into production workflows.
Requirements
- Proficient in web development using JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS, with experience in any framework of your preference.
- Proficient in the use of programming libraries that focus on data visualization.
- Knowledge of desktop development languages C and the .NET Framework.
- Knowledge of database languages SQL and MySQL.
- Experience with development tools and technologies including BitBucket, Git, Sourcetree, and MS ClickOnce.
- Familiarity with operating systems and technologies such as MS Windows, MS Windows Server, and MS Windows Services.
- Experience with team management tools such as Jira.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM).
- Basic knowledge of electronics engineering and manufacturing.
- Basic use of hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of process automation.
- A minimum of 3 years of software development experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience working in or with public companies in the electronics or software industries.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in software development, computational systems, information technologies, or related fields.
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
