Job Description

The Clean Energy Advisory Investments - Associate Manager/Senior Manager role involves providing advisory services for renewable energy procurements and supporting private equity investment firms and developers in M&A activities related to renewable energy projects. This client-facing position requires expertise in strategy setting, due diligence, and risk analysis to assist Fortune 50 companies and other clients in navigating the clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on renewable energy investments and energy procurements.
  • Support clients in forming investment strategies and evaluating options.
  • Perform detailed project due diligence and provide commercial deal support.
  • Assist clients in procuring renewable power and setting procurement strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with key renewable developers and clients.
  • Lead important initiatives for the clean energy advisory team.

Requirements

  • Experience in advisory duties for renewable energy procurements such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and aiding private equity investment firms and developers with M&A activity around renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to advise clients, including many of the Fortune 50 companies, private equity, and infrastructure capital firms on renewable investments and energy procurements.
  • Experience in strategy setting, education, due diligence, renewable energy procurements, risk analysis, and deal approval support.
  • Experience in forming investment strategies, evaluating options, performing detailed project due diligence, and providing commercial deal support for direct investment structures, project and developer acquisitions, project sales, and loan facilities.
  • Ability to provide education around renewables and energy markets, set procurement strategies, source renewable offtake, and obtain internal deal approval.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with manager/senior manager candidates expected to be comfortable speaking to clients, leading engagements independently, answering client questions, and presenting to C-suite level audiences.
  • Associate level candidates should be comfortable supporting engagements, presenting to clients, and answering client questions with support or on a limited basis.
  • Full-time availability for a remote position based in either the US or Canada.
