A Senior Simulation Engineer responsible for developing sensor and system-level simulation workflows to support validation and training of autonomous driving systems, including building simulated environments, data pipelines, and integrating advanced simulation technologies for realistic testing and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop sensor and system-level simulation workflows for validation and synthetic data generation
Build simulated environments, data pipelines, and interfaces for evaluating driving policies
Perform functional validation of learned behaviors and scalable synthetic data generation
Integrate advanced simulation technologies to support training and evaluation workflows
Coordinate cross-functional alignment between autonomy, platform, ML infrastructure, and integration teams
Requirements
Experience in developing sensor and system-level simulation workflows that support both closed-loop validation and synthetic data generation for training autonomous driving systems.
Ability to build simulated environments, data pipelines, and interfaces required to evaluate and improve full-stack driving policies under diverse, realistic conditions.
Focus on functional validation of learned behaviors, scalable synthetic data generation, and seamless integration of state-of-the-art simulation technologies to support training and evaluation workflows.
Experience in leading the development and implementation of simulation infrastructure or tooling related to autonomous vehicle systems.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to drive alignment between autonomy, platform, machine learning infrastructure, and integration teams.
Educational background in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related discipline.
Experience in the autonomous driving or robotics industry, with a focus on simulation, validation, or related areas.
Ability to contribute to projects involving AI, robotics, or driving systems, with relevant open-source contributions or technical project write-ups preferred.
Legal eligibility to work in California (for California-based roles), with the understanding that the pay range is between $180,000 and $258,750 per year, depending on experience, skills, and market location.
