Job Description
The role involves conducting research on interpretable AI methods for end-to-end automated driving systems, focusing on developing models that enhance transparency, diagnosability, and safety while maintaining high performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interpretable AI methods for end-to-end automated driving systems.
- Conduct hands-on experimentation, model development, and evaluation of neural driving policies.
- Create glass-box representations to improve understanding, debugging, and validation of learned driving behaviors.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and engineers to enhance the interpretability, diagnosability, and verifiability of autonomous driving models.
Requirements
- Contribute to research on interpretable AI methods for learning-based automated driving systems.
- Enjoy hands-on experimentation, model development, and evaluation in the context of autonomous driving AI.
- Develop methods that make end-to-end neural driving policies more interpretable, diagnosable, and verifiable.
- Work closely with senior researchers and engineers to develop interpretable AI models for automated driving.
- Build glass-box representations that help engineers and researchers better understand, debug, and validate learned driving behaviors.
- Have a strong foundation in machine learning, specifically in neural network models applicable to autonomous driving.
- Possess experience in developing and evaluating AI models at a research or applied level.
- Possess a track record of publications or research contributions in relevant fields, as evidenced by a full list of publications (e.g., via Google Scholar link).
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively within a research team focused on AI, robotics, and autonomous driving.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning, AI research, or related fields (implied by the seniority of the role).
- Possess a relevant educational background, such as a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (implied by research and development focus).
