Job Description
The Human-Interactive Driving Research Intern will conduct research in AI related to autonomous vehicles, focusing on improving interactions between drivers and intelligent vehicles through machine learning, robotics, and human factors insights. The internship aims to develop innovative AI approaches for prediction, planning, and long-term human-AI teaming, with a goal of publishing findings in a top-tier conference.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in AI related to autonomous vehicles.
- Develop techniques for multi-agent modeling and human-robot interactions.
- Focus on trajectory prediction and driver behavior understanding.
- Innovate methods for driver and intelligent vehicle interaction.
- Research specific sub-areas towards publication in top-tier conferences.
- Collaborate with researchers on human-in-the-loop experiments.
Requirements
- Internship opportunity for summer 2025, paid 12-week internship.
- Internship will be a hybrid in-office role based in Cambridge, MA.
- Motivated interns with excellent capabilities for research in various areas of AI related to autonomous vehicles.
- Experience or knowledge in multi-agent modeling and human-robot teaming interactions, with emphasis on environments such as autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles.
- Familiarity with related topics including trajectory prediction, driver state and behavior understanding, shared control, and computational teaching of humans.
- Ability to work towards publication in a top-tier conference.
