Job Description
A Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, building, and testing prototypes in support of research projects at Toyota Research Institute, while leading and mentoring a team to accelerate innovation in mobility and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test novel prototypes in collaboration with research teams
- Apply mechanical and electrical systems knowledge to develop projects from design to testing
- Advise on processes and programs to accelerate research and development efforts
Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to design, build, and test novel prototypes.
- Experience in nurturing projects from the design phase through to completion in building and testing prototypes.
- Ability to partner with research teams across TRI to support research missions through prototyping and operational support.
- Self-directed work ethic with the ability to mentor and lead a diverse team of operations specialists and engineers.
- Strong organizational skills to guide open-ended projects to completion.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range between $132,000 and $198,000 per year
