The AI Research Intern will explore and develop innovative AI approaches to understand and improve wellbeing in complex human systems such as workplaces and communities, contributing to research projects that analyze social dynamics and inform interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Explore how AI can be used to understand and improve wellbeing in human systems.
Propose and develop novel AI approaches such as machine learning, causal learning, natural language processing, or agent-based simulations to study complex social systems.
Contribute to research efforts aimed at uncovering hidden patterns, identifying key drivers, and designing interventions to enhance wellbeing.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a university program with a focus on fields such as machine learning, behavioral sciences, human-computer interaction, or related disciplines.
Ability to propose and develop novel approaches including machine learning, causal learning, natural language processing, or agent-based simulations to study complex social systems.
Self-driven and creative mindset with the ability to work independently on research-oriented projects.
Availability to commit to a 12-week paid internship period.
Willingness to work in a hybrid, in-office role at Toyota Research Institute.
Experience or knowledge in AI techniques relevant to understanding and improving wellbeing in human systems (preferred but not explicitly required).
