Job Description
The Senior Transportation Planner is responsible for leading transportation planning projects in the Greater Seattle area, engaging with community stakeholders, managing project documentation, and supporting business development efforts within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transportation planning projects in the Greater Seattle Market.
- Collaborate with professionals on small to large-scale planning and design projects.
- Engage in community stakeholder engagement and develop planning documentation.
- Manage project programs from planning through to construction administration.
- Contribute to business development by developing marketing plans, cultivating client and agency relationships, tracking opportunities, and preparing proposals.
- Deliver client presentations and support service expansion efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in transportation planning, urban planning, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning or a related field.
- Experience leading transportation planning projects, including small to large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to engage in all aspects of the planning and design process, including community stakeholder engagement, planning documentation, and program management through to construction administration.
- Ability to collaborate with professional teams and clients, including developing proposals, delivering client presentations, and contributing to business development activities.
- Experience contributing to the development of marketing plans and maintaining relations with clients and agency representatives.
- Ability to track prospective opportunities and contribute to project proposals.
- Willingness to work in a flexible work environment with a schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
