Job Description
A Senior Project Manager PE specializing in highway design, responsible for leading transportation infrastructure projects, providing comprehensive planning and engineering services, and supporting business development within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex transportation infrastructure projects ensuring safety and efficiency
- Provide comprehensive services including transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design
- Collaborate with management and business development teams to develop marketing plans and proposals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and agency representatives
- Track prospective project opportunities and deliver client presentations
- Ensure project cost efficiency and risk mitigation through innovative collaboration
Requirements
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Experience leading transportation infrastructure projects, including designing complex, safe, and efficient systems.
- Experience providing a full range of services such as sustainable transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
- Ability to collaborate with the Highway Group Manager and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering to develop marketing plans, cultivate and maintain client and agency relationships, track prospective opportunities, develop proposals, and deliver client presentations.
- Experience in business development activities related to transportation projects, including contributing to marketing plans and client relations.
- Proven ability to lead projects with a focus on cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with a schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
