Job Description
A senior engineer responsible for leading the design and management of water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities and private systems, while mentoring staff, driving project strategy, and representing the firm in industry events within a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of municipal treatment facilities and private water systems.
- Manage project strategy from concept through construction.
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Drive business development and represent the company at industry events.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the country for project assignments.
- Complete and pass any background, security, motor vehicle record (MVR), or drug test requests required by TKDA, clients, and applicable state and/or federal agencies based on prospective project assignments.
- Possess a minimum of several years of experience leading complex public and private water projects, with a demonstrated ability to shape project strategy from concept to construction.
- Experience in designing municipal treatment facilities, private development water systems, pump stations, and related water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Strong civil engineering background with a focus on water-wastewater solutions.
- Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers and team members.
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships across the Twin Cities metro and beyond.
- Proven ability to drive business development and represent the company at industry events.
