Job Description
The Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer will lead the design of complex HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems for commercial and industrial facilities, manage projects from conception to construction, collaborate across disciplines, mentor colleagues, and contribute to business growth through client relationships and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex HVAC, plumbing, processing, and industrial systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for projects.
- Manage projects from conception through construction, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor less experienced colleagues in mechanical engineering practices.
- Contribute to business growth by cultivating client relationships, developing proposals, and participating in marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent licensure recognized in the United States.
- Candidates must have experience leading the mechanical design of complex HVAC, plumbing, processing, and industrial systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
- Candidates must have the ability to prepare comprehensive technical documentation related to mechanical systems.
- Candidates must have experience managing projects from conception through construction, ensuring project delivery aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Candidates must have the ability to collaborate with professionals across engineering disciplines and architecture to deliver integrated solutions.
- Candidates must have experience mentoring less experienced colleagues in a professional engineering environment.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Candidates must be able to complete and pass background checks including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
- Candidates must be able to complete and pass any background, security, and drug tests required by TKDA, clients, and relevant federal or state agencies.
