Job Description

The Senior Professional Electrical Engineer will lead the design and scoping of electrical engineering projects for industrial facilities, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to develop detailed drawings and oversee construction administration. This role also includes mentoring junior engineers and managing client relations and project proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Scope electrical engineering portions of projects
  • Lead design efforts and develop detailed drawings
  • Assist with construction administration and maintain progress reports
  • Mentor less experienced team members
  • Lead teams of engineering and design professionals
  • Manage technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects from conception through construction
  • Collaborate on proposals and manage client relations

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of technical design standards and requirements for industrial facility and site electrical systems.
  • Experience in scoping the electrical engineering portions of projects and leading the design efforts associated with those projects.
  • Ability to develop detailed drawings, including site plans, power signal lighting plans, equipment layouts, one-lines, industrial controls and control systems, assessments, and reports.
  • Experience with construction administration responsibilities, including interpreting plans, observing construction operations, and maintaining progress reports to verify construction conforms to plans, specifications, and the construction schedule.
  • Experience leading teams of engineering and design professionals and being responsible for all technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects from conception through construction.
  • Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, which consists of Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
