Job Description
A Senior Professional Civil Engineer responsible for leading project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and managing various civil site design projects across diverse sectors, from preliminary design to construction, in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams in civil site design and engineering projects
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Work directly with clients from preliminary design through construction phases
- Design stormwater management systems and utility infrastructure
- Manage corporate campus development projects
- Collaborate with Market Managers to build and maintain client relationships
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) in Illinois or be able to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in civil site design, including experience with stormwater management, utility infrastructure design, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Proven ability to work directly with clients from preliminary design through construction phases.
- Ability to collaborate with Market Managers to build client relationships as part of a seller-doer approach.
- Have a strong background in civil engineering design for diverse projects such as renewable energy sites, food processing facilities, academic campuses, and municipal infrastructure.
- Be willing to work out of the Downers Grove, Illinois office and participate in a hybrid work environment, working in the office Tuesday through Thursday and WFH Monday and Friday.
- Successfully complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
