Job Description
A Senior Professional Civil Engineer responsible for leading roadway and municipal projects from feasibility to construction, including design, traffic analysis, utilities coordination, and transportation planning, while also contributing to business development and client relations in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and project coordination for roadway and municipal projects from feasibility studies through final design and construction supervision
- Conduct roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning for urban and rural roadways
- Collaborate with management and business development teams to develop marketing plans, maintain client and agency relationships, track opportunities, and prepare proposals
- Ensure projects are optimized for cost efficiency and risk mitigation through effective planning and oversight
Requirements
- Possess 10 to 20 years of experience as a Professional Civil Engineer.
- Have the ability to lead design and project coordination throughout the full cycle of roadway and municipal projects, including feasibility studies, initial design, final design, and supervising construction of the design.
- Experience in roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning for both urban and rural roadways.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with the Roadway Utilities Group Manager and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering to develop marketing plans, cultivate and maintain relations with clients and agency representatives, track prospective opportunities, develop proposals, and deliver client presentations.
- Meet the educational requirement of being a licensed Professional Civil Engineer (implied by the role, though not explicitly stated).
- Complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history, upon acceptance of a conditional offer.
