Job Description
The role involves leading and collaborating on structural engineering projects for various types of buildings and structures, mentoring engineers, and contributing to business development, all within a hybrid work environment at a 100% employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and design structural systems for various types of buildings and facilities.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and collaborate with other engineering and architectural professionals.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their structural needs.
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and marketing efforts.
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering or be eligible to obtain one in Minnesota.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
- Demonstrate experience leading multidisciplinary projects involving civil, electrical, mechanical, and architectural professionals.
- Have the ability to analyze complex industrial facilities, educational buildings, mining structures, and commercial developments.
- Proven ability to mentor developing engineers and build client relationships.
- Experience contributing to business development through proposal writing and marketing efforts.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment, with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday and WFH Monday and Friday.
- Complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history, upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment.
