Job Description
A Graduate Scientist in Environmental Wetlands will perform wetland delineations and support the development of stormwater control measures, working alongside engineers and hydrologists on transportation infrastructure projects across the upper Midwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wetland delineations across the upper Midwest on railroad structures, capacity expansion facilities, tracks, yards, and transportation projects
- Assist in developing and implementing stormwater control measures that are cost-effective, maintenance-friendly, and environmentally protective
- Collaborate with engineers, hydrologists, and other team members to support transportation infrastructure projects
Requirements
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Candidates must have the ability to travel frequently throughout the country for project assignments, including local and overnight travel during the growing season up to approximately 25% and possibly on short notice for emergency projects.
- Candidates must be able to perform wetland delineations across the upper Midwest on railroad structures, railroad capacity expansion facilities, tracks, yards, and Department of Transportation projects.
- Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid work environment with in-office work scheduled for Monday and Friday and remote work from Tuesday to Thursday.
- Candidates must complete and pass a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
- Candidates must be able to complete and pass any drug testing requests required by TKDA, clients, and applicable state and federal agencies.
