Job Description
This internship offers undergraduate civil engineering students with a focus on structural design the opportunity to work on building facility projects, gaining hands-on experience in structural modeling, design, and construction documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in downtown Seattle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing structural models, floor plans, details, and construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit
- Expand knowledge of steel, cast-in-place concrete, and precast concrete design
- Support preliminary site conditions assessments
- Contribute to construction administration responsibilities
- Engage in various stages of project life cycle from conception through construction
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Have an interest in building facility design.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime throughout the summer of 2026.
- Be able to work primarily from the office in downtown Seattle, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
- Have the ability to assist with the development of structural models, floor plans, details, and construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Be able to expand knowledge of steel, cast-in-place concrete, and precast concrete design.
- Be willing to assist with preliminary site conditions assessments or construction administration responsibilities on occasion.
- Upon acceptance of a conditional offer, complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
