Job Description
The 2026 Summer Intern - Civil Engineering, Survey position offers hands-on experience in survey projects, civil design, and construction documentation while working with a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to learn project lifecycle stages and develop skills using AutoCAD and Revit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with survey projects and related tasks across various sectors.
- Support civil design and construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Participate in fieldwork and construction administration activities as needed.
- Engage in different stages of project life cycle from conception to construction.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age as of May 1, 2026, due to responsibilities that may require operation of a motorized vehicle to conduct business on behalf of TKDA.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime throughout the summer of 2026.
- Currently enrolled in or pursuing a program related to civil engineering, survey, or a related field (implied by internship focus and knowledge expansion in survey, civil design, and construction documentation).
- Ability to work primarily from the TKDA office in downtown Seattle, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements as needed.
- Willingness to assist with field and/or construction administration responsibilities on occasion.
- Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history, upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment.
