Job Description
This summer internship in civil engineering focuses on highway design, allowing undergraduates to apply their academic knowledge while collaborating with professional engineers on transportation infrastructure projects. Interns will assist with various design tasks and have opportunities for mentorship and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with highway design
- Create geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and cross sections
- Produce final plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Interest in highway design.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime throughout the summer of 2025 from mid-May through mid-August.
- Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, which consists of Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
