Job Description
A Community Climate Advocate engages with homeowners to promote energy-efficient HVAC solutions, educate about incentives, and improve indoor air quality, contributing to community health and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect with homeowners in targeted neighborhoods to discuss HVAC benefits
- Educate community members about energy-efficiency incentives, rebates, and tax credits
- Help homeowners understand their home's energy performance and indoor air quality issues
- Guide customers toward HVAC solutions that enhance comfort and reduce environmental impact
- Participate in local community events to promote healthy home environments and energy conservation
Requirements
- Must be based in Massachusetts (MA).
- Experience or ability to connect easily with people from diverse backgrounds as a natural relationship-builder.
- Ability to explain technical concepts related to HVAC systems, energy efficiency incentives, rebates, and tax credits in accessible ways.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Willingness to participate in community outreach activities, including local community events to raise awareness about healthy home environments and energy conservation.
