Job Description

The Senior Supply Chain Productivity and Efficiency Specialist is responsible for leading AI-driven initiatives to optimize and transform supply chain operations, aiming to significantly increase productivity, reduce manual work, and improve overall efficiency across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and deliver AI-enabled improvements to reduce manual work, decision latency, and structural inefficiencies across supply chain functions.
  • Lead the integration of AI and Machine Learning technologies, including Large Language Models and workflow automation platforms, into supply chain operations.
  • Connect and unify supply chain data, processes, ERP systems, planning tools, and personnel into a cohesive, data-driven ecosystem.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify bottlenecks and proactively address product delivery delays.
  • Enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and compliance with industry regulations through cross-functional teamwork.

Requirements

  • Experience in identifying, designing, and delivering AI-enabled improvements that reduce manual work, decision latency, and structural inefficiencies across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Proven ability to spearhead the integration of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, specifically leveraging enterprise Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT or Gemini, workflow automation platforms, and other internal AI tools to revolutionize supply chain operations.
  • Ability to connect disparate supply chain data, processes, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, planning tools, and personnel into a cohesive, highly intelligent, and data-driven ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving a minimum 10x increase in overall supply chain productivity and efficiency through AI-driven transformation.
  • Strong understanding of the entire product supply chain, from research and development through to final product delivery, with the ability to identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address product delivery delays.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment with professionals from industrial manufacturing, quality control, procurement, distribution logistics, and digital transformation fields.
  • Ability to promote a culture of collaboration and clear communication across departments to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Knowledge of global industry regulations related to product development and delivery.
  • Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal, with the ability to work remotely and flexibly, including flexible working hours and work from home arrangements.
  • Candidates must have a strong understanding of supply chain data, processes, and enterprise systems, with the ability to connect and integrate these into a data-driven ecosystem.
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives within supply chain management.
