The Senior Design Transfer Engineer Systems Operations is responsible for ensuring smooth transition of product designs from development to manufacturing, focusing on manufacturability, scalability, and production readiness while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
Execute transitions from product development into manufacturing
Ensure product designs are manufacturable, scalable, and production-ready
Act as a technical bridge between Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality
Influence design decisions early to prevent manufacturing risks
Support production readiness from NPI through EVT, DVT, pilot builds, and ramp-up
Operate within the design transfer and continuous improvement framework
Escalate technical decisions as needed
Requirements
Execute robust and efficient transitions from product development into manufacturing, ensuring that product designs are manufacturable, scalable, and production-ready.
Act as a key technical bridge between Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality departments.
Influence design decisions early in the development process to prevent manufacturing risks and support production readiness.
Support production readiness from NPI (New Product Introduction) through EVT (Engineering Validation Testing), DVT (Design Validation Testing), pilot builds, and ramp-up phases.
Operate within the design transfer and continuous improvement framework defined by the department, executing priorities and escalating technical decisions as needed.
Possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal, as the position requires working in Portugal without relocation assistance.
Candidates must have the ability to work remotely and adhere to flexible working hours.
