The Controller at Sword Health will lead the global accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes, while building and managing a high-performing finance team to support the company's growth and transition to a public company.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead the global accounting foundation to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls
Own the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and reports
Manage the successful delivery of external audits
Partner with finance leadership, audit committee, and senior management to ensure financial discipline
Improve systems and processes related to accounting and financial operations
Lead and develop a junior finance team
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and responsible financial practices
Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities
Optimize resource allocation and drive efficient revenue operations
Provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth and decision-making
Requirements
Must have a legal right to work in the United States; immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Experience building and leading a global accounting foundation that enables a company to operate with confidence and discipline while preparing for public-company rigor.
Ownership of the accuracy of financial reporting, the strength of internal controls, and the successful delivery of external audits.
Ability to partner closely with the Finance leader, Audit Committee, and senior leadership across the business.
Experience leading, strategizing, and building a talented but junior finance team.
Proven ability to improve systems and processes within a finance organization.
Experience in shaping a world-class finance organization as the company expands across the US and Europe.
Ability to thrive in fast-growth environments and simplify complexity.
Experience managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as accounting, revenue operations, and procurement.
Knowledge of optimizing resource allocation, ensuring compliance, and driving efficient revenue operations.
Ability to provide strategic financial insights to enable informed decision-making and support organizational growth.
Strong collaboration skills to work closely with all teams and provide necessary financial support to drive innovation and achieve organizational goals.
Full-time employment with a commitment to regularly work at least 25 hours per week.
