Job Description
The Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician at Swift Solar is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal operations and equipment uptime. This hands-on role involves collaboration with engineers to perform upgrades, maintenance, and develop preventative maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment
- Perform upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting on machinery
- Collaborate with engineers to maximize equipment uptime
- Review requests and work orders in maintenance management software
- Troubleshoot vacuum equipment and coordinate with external suppliers
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance processes
- Maintain lab equipment including gloveboxes and gas tanks
- Supervise contractor visits for facility upgrades
Requirements
- Have 5 years of tool maintenance experience in industries such as vacuum coating (PVD), semiconductor manufacturing, or a related field.
- Possess hands-on experience performing vacuum leak detection, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and repairing high- and low-voltage electrical subsystems.
- Have a fundamental understanding of vacuum chamber pumping including mechanical, turbo, and cryogenic pumps, and familiarity with vacuum gauges and valves.
