The Maintenance Technician at Swift Solar is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting solar cell research and manufacturing equipment, ensuring operational uptime, and supporting the development of advanced solar technology in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment
Perform upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on machinery
Collaborate with engineers to ensure equipment uptime and operational efficiency
Manage maintenance records and document repair activities
Troubleshoot vacuum equipment and coordinate with external vendors for repairs
Develop and execute preventative maintenance procedures
Maintain laboratory equipment such as gloveboxes and vacuum systems
Implement safety and equipment protocols
Plan and coordinate facility upgrades and contractor visits
Requirements
Have 5 years of tool maintenance experience in industries such as vacuum coating PVD, semiconductor manufacturing, or related field
Possess hands-on experience performing vacuum leak detection, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and repairing high- and low-voltage electrical subsystems
Have a fundamental understanding of vacuum chamber pumping including mechanical, turbo, and cryogenic pumps and familiarity with vacuum gauges and valves
Be organized, growth-minded, and eager to step up when help is needed
