Job Description
The CFO at Swift Solar is responsible for developing and executing the company's financial strategy, securing funding, managing financial operations, and supporting growth initiatives in the innovative solar technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financing strategy
- Secure funding for manufacturing and growth initiatives
- Build scalable financial systems and support financial operations at scale
- Prepare materials for investor meetings and pitches
- Update financial models and conduct valuations
- Review cash forecasts and evaluate equipment purchasing decisions
- Implement cost controls and scenario planning to extend financial runway
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including book closing and tax filings
- Oversee regulatory compliance, insurance renewals, and financial workflows
- Identify and manage financial risks proactively
- Shape and lead finance operations across the company
Requirements
- Have 10 years of experience in capital strategy, fundraising, and financial leadership ideally in manufacturing or deeptech.
- Be hands-on, adaptable, and thrive in ambiguity; be excited to build systems and finance processes from the ground up.
- Have structured and secured financing for complex, capital-intensive projects.
- Have successfully raised capital from a range of sources, including venture capitalists, strategics, and potentially government or non-dilutive sources.
- Possess a technical background to understand engineering constraints and communicate effectively across technical and commercial teams (preferred but not mandatory).
