Help launch Sunrun’s brand-new St. Louis branch! As America’s #1 home solar and battery company, we are seeking an experienced Solar Foreperson to join our team starting now!
As a key member of our launch team, you will spend your first few months gaining hands-on leadership experience alongside our established Chicago team before permanently running installation crews out of our new St. Louis branch when doors open in early 2027.

Crew Leadership: Direct, mentor, and lead a crew of 3 to 6 installers on residential PV and storage installations.
Workflow & Quality Control: Manage daily construction workflow, ensuring installations strictly meet engineering plans, NEC codes, and safety standards.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce Sunrun and OSHA safety protocols, conduct safety huddles, and maintain secure job sites.
Customer Representation: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners, providing exceptional customer service throughout installation.
Documentation: Track and submit project logs, photos, and closeout documentation via mobile field tools.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years of construction experience, including at least 1 year in solar installation.
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), roof construction, and electrical wiring up to 600 VDC / 480 VAC.
Driver Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must meet company driving standards).
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs with assistance), work at heights/rooftops in varied weather conditions, and safely handle ladders.
Certifications: OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, or state electrical licenses/certifications preferred.

Rotation Schedule: 2 weeks on-site in Chicago, followed by 4 full days off at home in St. Louis.
