Job Description
This role involves developing analytical tools, managing risk, and forecasting trends in environmental commodities, specifically Energy Attribute Certificates, within a dynamic trading team focused on decarbonization strategies and renewable energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EAC market models to forecast price trends and trading opportunities
- Manage risk in local and international EAC markets within mandated parameters
- Analyze renewable energy markets to identify supply-demand drivers
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in EAC trading
- Support ad-hoc impact assessments and analysis related to EAC market and trading strategies
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in options trading, showcasing a proven track record in derivatives markets, particularly in challenging, opaque OTC markets
- A passion to organize, structure, and visualize complex quantitative problems
- Advanced proficiency in Python and R programming languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Excellent English proficiency
- Currently living in or open to relocating to Mexico City
