Job Description
The Program Lead for Agricultural Nitrogen Systems at Spark Climate Solutions will drive transformative approaches in nitrogen management to improve efficiency and reduce pollution in food production, engaging with interdisciplinary stakeholders to shape climate-beneficial agricultural practices in a remote, full-time role.
Responsibilities
- •Lead initiatives to improve nitrogen management in food production systems
- •Advance transformational solutions such as non-protein nitrogen use, crop breeding for nitrogen efficiency, and manure management
- •Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote climate and environmental benefits in agriculture
- •Integrate science, engineering, policy, and societal considerations to develop holistic agricultural approaches
- •Shape and define new agricultural practices with positive climate and environmental impacts
Requirements
- •Deep motivation by climate action, pollution abatement, and food security issues
- •Ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- •Experience in an interdisciplinary environment taking science, engineering, talent development, society, economics, and policy into account to holistically advance the field
- •Ability to define and shape new agricultural approaches with climate and environmental benefits

- •Salary range of $130,000 to $180,000 per year, dependent on experience and location
