Job Description
The Director of Accounts Payable is a leadership role responsible for managing company-wide accounts payable operations, vendor relationships, cash planning, and treasury functions, ensuring accurate job cost allocation and subcontractor payment compliance in a construction-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee company-wide accounts payable operations
- Manage vendor relationships and vendor management processes
- Perform purchase order (PO) matching and reconciliation
- Coordinate cash planning and cash flow forecasting
- Supervise treasury operations
- Ensure accurate job cost allocation and subcontractor payment compliance
- Maintain cash visibility to support project performance and trade partner relationships
- Implement process optimization and automation in accounts payable functions
Requirements
- Deep accounts payable (AP) expertise with strong process optimization skills and modern automation experience
- Experience overseeing company-wide accounts payable operations, vendor management, purchase order (PO) matching, and reconciliation processes
- Experience managing cash planning, cash flow forecasting, and treasury operations
- Experience in a construction environment with accurate job cost allocation and subcontractor payment compliance
- Ability to ensure cash visibility that directly affects project performance and trade partner relationships
