Job Description

The Sr. Process Engineer at SOLARCYCLE will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing recycling processes and equipment at the Cedartown, GA facility, focusing on improving manufacturing capabilities and project management in the clean energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Improve process capability and defect reduction for high volume manufacturing using statistical process control and data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Maintenance teams to ensure a safety-first environment during process and equipment changes.
  • Create detailed technical specifications for control schemas for the Operations team.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and manage projects related to equipment automation and optimization using project management software.
  • Ensure processes and systems meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Define process flows, develop new processes, and facilitate the transfer of new technologies to manufacturing.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
  • Monitor process and system performance using Statistical Process Control and apply diagnostic tools for optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, or equivalent industry.
  • Experience in data analytics, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D methods and related Quality systems.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using tech-enabled project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in rapid communications using a mobile device and laptop.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and process.
  • Ability to relocate to Cedartown, Georgia, within 1-2 months.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to the SOLARCYCLE recycling facility in Odessa, TX, potentially spending multiple weeks at a time there.
