Job Description

The role involves managing field operations and providing exceptional onsite services for solar panel decommissioning, recycling, and logistics, ensuring project execution, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance within the renewable energy and circular economy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of field services projects, including planning, estimating, budgeting, and contracting labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Provide technical expertise onsite or remotely for packaging, loading, reverse logistics, and end-of-life solar panel operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and site safety standards are followed during project execution.
  • Monitor project scope changes, negotiate change orders, and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate customer operations, including de-commissioning, pickup, and delivery of solar equipment.
  • Track project progress through scheduling, reporting, and forecasting, and implement process improvements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support, address issues promptly, and manage customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Energy, Construction Management, or similar.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in construction, operations, or customer management roles, preferably in the solar energy or recycling industries.
  • Experience providing onsite services for solar or recycling projects, including de-commissioning, loading, packaging, and reverse logistics.
  • Ability to plan, estimate, and budget for field services opportunities ranging from basic site labor packaging services to advanced system-wide decommissioning.
  • Experience contracting labor, equipment, and materials for field operations.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise remotely or onsite for packaging, loading, reverse logistics, and other operations associated with end-of-life solar panels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to solar and recycling operations.
  • Commitment to site safety and adherence to best practices on all project sites.
  • Experience monitoring and identifying scope changes, calculating, and negotiating change orders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately 75% of the time, plus or minus.
  • Strong leadership, task prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High proficiency in Excel, with process mapping skills considered a plus.
  • Ability to manage project scheduling, tracking, forecasting, and budgets, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer support and service, including quick problem solving for customer-related issues.
