Job Description
The role involves operating and maintaining recycling equipment for solar panels at SOLARCYCLE, contributing to sustainable solar energy by ensuring efficient processing, safety, and quality in a fast-growing clean energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate recycling equipment and related production machinery
- Perform machine adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Conduct preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Ensure raw materials are of good quality and feed the production line
- Follow safety policies and procedures, including lock-out tag-out
- Maintain high standards of area housekeeping and GMP compliance
- Assist in other work areas as directed by supervisors
- Communicate downtime events and operational issues to leadership
Requirements
- Operate recycling equipment either solo or as part of a team to process materials on the solar panel recycling line.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and document all maintenance activities.
- Complete machine adjustments, repairs, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure efficient machine operation.
- Operate related production equipment, including Pre-Wash systems, Wash systems, Extrusion systems, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other related equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including lock-out tag-out procedures, and operate work in a safe manner.
- Ensure the line is fed with good quality raw materials to produce finished goods with acceptable product quality.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Maintain high standards of area housekeeping.
- Communicate with leadership and maintain all downtime events.
- Have good attendance and be a self-starter.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED, or a combination of additional education and experience.
- Demonstrate aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Pay attention to detail and work accurately.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
