Job Description
The Compliance Manager at Smart Energy is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework, overseeing regulatory and legal risks across sales, installation, and operations, and ensuring internal processes align with national and state regulations to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across sales, installation, and internal operations
- Ensure internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations
- Maintain and review company compliance policies
- Provide guidance and support to business units for compliance implementation and decision-making
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Law, Commerce, or a related field
- Experience working in a compliance-focused role, demonstrating success in integrating compliance with business strategy
- Ability to oversee the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across the company's sales, installation, and internal operations
- Knowledge of how to ensure internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations
- Experience in overseeing the maintenance and review of company compliance policies
- Ability to provide formal guidance and implementation of compliance measures to business units to support informed decision-making
- Willingness to work onsite Monday to Friday at the Byron Bay HQ
