Job Description

The Production Planner at Sila is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, balancing production capacity with demand, and coordinating resources across teams. This role involves monitoring production progress, managing inventory levels, and analyzing data to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed production schedules.
  • Balance production capacity with forecasted and actual demand.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
  • Adjust production plans in response to unforeseen changes.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials and components for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing teams.
  • Oversee daily production processes to ensure alignment with schedules.
  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Forecast future production needs based on market trends and customer orders.
  • Assess future capacity requirements and recommend equipment upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of industry safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis.
  • Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
  • Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
  • Move long distances such as from building to building and be stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Precise and repetitive handling of a range of material quantities.
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier printer, etc. in a fixed location.

Compensation/salary range: $95,000 to $120,000
