Job Description
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing facility to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime. This role involves managing work orders, collaborating with various teams, and optimizing equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules.
- •Prioritize and plan work orders based on urgency and production requirements.
- •Coordinate planned maintenance with production schedules.
- •Create, review, and assign maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
- •Ensure availability of necessary materials, tools, and spare parts.
- •Track work order progress and adjust schedules as needed.
- •Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks.
- •Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- •Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support maintenance schedules.
- •Communicate maintenance schedules and work plans to stakeholders.
- •Provide reports on maintenance KPIs.
- •Develop and refine preventive maintenance programs.
- •Implement predictive maintenance strategies using condition monitoring tools.
Requirements
- •High school diploma or equivalent OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
- •Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- •Strong knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, or Fiix.
- •Familiarity with industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- •Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
- •Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- •Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- •Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis.
- •Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
- •Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
- •Move long distances such as from building to building and be stationary for extended periods of time.
- •Reach low shelves or items on the floor.
- •Enter spaces narrower than 3 feet.
- •Climb stairs or over containment walls.
- •Precise and repetitive handling of a range of material quantities.
- •Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier, printer, etc. in a fixed location.
