Job Description

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing facility to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime. This role involves managing work orders, collaborating with various teams, and optimizing equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules.
  • Prioritize and plan work orders based on urgency and production requirements.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance with production schedules.
  • Create, review, and assign maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials, tools, and spare parts.
  • Track work order progress and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support maintenance schedules.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules and work plans to stakeholders.
  • Provide reports on maintenance KPIs.
  • Develop and refine preventive maintenance programs.
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies using condition monitoring tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, or Fiix.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis.
  • Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
  • Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
  • Move long distances such as from building to building and be stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Reach low shelves or items on the floor.
  • Enter spaces narrower than 3 feet.
  • Climb stairs or over containment walls.
  • Precise and repetitive handling of a range of material quantities.
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier, printer, etc. in a fixed location.
