Job Description

The role involves driving B2B sales and strategic partnerships in the new energy and AI-driven scientific solutions markets, focusing on advanced battery materials and laboratory automation technologies, while translating technical customer needs into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical B2B sales efforts in the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets.
  • Identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, promoting AI-powered smart lab solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical solution presentations highlighting the value of AI solutions.
  • Manage negotiations to secure commercial agreements and drive sales success.
  • Maintain understanding of customer workflows related to battery materials and laboratory automation.
  • Communicate the value of the AI4Science ecosystem to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Proven track record in technical B2B sales, negotiating and closing enterprise accounts in relevant markets such as new energy, battery, and chemical materials.
  • Deep technical literacy in battery materials, lithium battery technology, and the broader new energy ecosystem.
  • Experience in a career progression that began in a technical role (e.g., Chemical Engineer) and transitioned into a customer technical supporting sales or business development position.
  • Deep understanding of customer battery chemical material workflows and the ability to communicate the value of AI4Science ecosystem, including laboratory automation.
  • Ability to translate complex customer needs and technical challenges into clear solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
  • Experience in developing and delivering technical solution presentations that articulate the value proposition of AI solutions within material science workflows.
  • Experience managing the negotiation process, driving agreements to completion, and securing commercial success.
  • Experience in market analysis to identify key opportunities and strategic partnerships within the energy OEM market and chemical materials industry.
