Job Description
The Associate Director of SEC Reporting will lead the financial reporting process for SES, including the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements, and will be responsible for addressing technical accounting issues and coordinating audits with external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial reporting process, including preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements.
- Conduct technical accounting research on complex accounting and reporting issues.
- Assist with the preparation and review of disclosures for SEC filings and earnings releases.
- Coordinate annual audit and quarterly review procedures with external auditors.
- Review monthly and quarterly financial statements and related financial reporting packages.
- Evaluate the impact of new accounting pronouncements and financial reporting standards.
- Manage equity administration platform and stock compensation accounting and reporting.
- Assist in the development of the company's internal control framework and SOX compliance efforts.
- Research and benchmark disclosures of peer companies and industry trends.
- Develop financial materials for presentations to the Board of Directors and Executive Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive technical accounting and SEC reporting experience.
- Active CPA license required.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in U.S. GAAP, AICPA and SEC financial reporting standards.
- Prior experience writing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, 8-K, and Proxy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and collaborative skills.
- Experience with Toppan Platform and an equity administration platform E-trade strongly preferred.
- Prior hands-on experience with the implementation and monitoring of global SOX compliance.
