Job Description
The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead engineering teams in managing complex projects across various high-impact industries, ensuring successful communication with clients and stakeholders while overseeing project performance, budget, and team morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients on technology development
- Lead teams to build solutions across various industries
- Drive client and internal communication regarding scope, timeline, and budget
- Manage team morale, stress, and time for a healthy project culture
- Forecast project performance and plan for identified risks
- Manage and track project budget, resources, and schedule
- Create project budgets, work breakdowns, and integration plans
- Assist in screening candidates and contractors
- Participate in the development of internal project management tools and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Management, Business, or related fields.
- 5-7 years experience working as a technical project manager in a related field.
- Familiarity with the labor breakdown and execution of engineering projects and project planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills on technical topics.
- Ability to identify project risk, scope creep, and missing critical requirements.
- High level of organization and responsiveness.
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week on-site in El Segundo, California, USA.
- Applicant must be eligible to work on ITAR projects.
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b a 3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
