Job Description
The Site Manager oversees the operations and performance of two off-grid energy plants, leading a team to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe energy delivery while managing performance-based contracts and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and performance of two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of energy
- Coordinate with Scale Microgrids staff, O M provider, and LTSA providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations
- Lead and manage a team of operators and maintenance personnel
- Ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency
- Proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches related to system availability and uptime
Requirements
- Experience in overseeing the operations and performance of energy plants, specifically managing two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of reliable energy in an off-grid installation.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Scale Microgrids staff, the O M provider, and LTSA providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations.
- Proven leadership skills in leading and directing a team of operators and maintenance personnel to ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery.
- Experience in managing performance-based power purchasing agreements with financial penalties tied to system availability and uptime guarantees.
- Responsibility for proactively preventing reliability guarantee breaches and ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of plant operations.
- Based in or willing to be based near New Albany, Ohio, to fulfill the role requirements.
- Ability to manage and oversee plant safety, operational effectiveness, and reliability in a high-stakes environment.
- Experience in managing or working within microgrid or distributed energy systems is preferred (implied by the microgrid context).
