Job Description
The Solutions Integration Engineer at Samsara will work within the Professional Services team to assist strategic customers in building and implementing B2B integrations with the IoT platform, focusing on mapping integration needs, developing custom solutions, and ensuring successful customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in system integration projects with customer development teams and 3rd-party systems integrators.
- Create project scopes, technical specifications, and business requirements between Samsara and external stakeholders.
- Build robust and scalable integration architecture for various use cases.
- Build, test, validate, and review code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Advise and document best practices around integrations using Samsara APIs and products.
- Collaborate with the Developer EcoSystem team to improve API experience and features.
- Contribute to the enhancement of Professional Services team methodologies and tools.
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience developing Integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies.
- Can write, read, and understand code in Python and one additional programming language (for example, JavaScript, AppScript).
- Experience in developing solutions leveraging modern Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Comfortable in reviewing data integration requirements and translating them into good technical designs.
- Comfortable in working with RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and modern databases.
- Comfortable in participating in customer evaluations and deployments, with the ability to juggle multiple customer engagements in parallel.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of teams.
- Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Experience working with Modern Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- This position is open to candidates residing in specific states (Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and West Virginia) or in Canada.
- This is a hybrid position requiring up to 2 days per week in our France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, or United Kingdom office and up to 3 days working remotely.
