Job Description
The Software Engineering Intern position at Samsara is designed for early-career individuals to contribute to various engineering teams by designing and developing impactful features for the Connected Operations Cloud platform, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and addressing engineering challenges in IoT data management and user interface development.
Responsibilities
- •Design and develop features across a broad surface area.
- •Architect data structures for mass data collection.
- •Present data analytics in intuitive and performant ways on web and mobile.
- •Scale data ingestion and storage systems for connected devices.
- •Develop user interfaces that present data collected from devices.
- •Collaborate with design and product teams to identify solutions.
- •Work on the infrastructure behind the React Native application.
Requirements
- •You will complete a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or similar.
- •To be eligible for this role, you must be enrolled in university for the full duration of this internship and graduate in Summer Spring 2026.
- •You will work on scaling our data ingestion and storage systems to support more and more connected devices.
- •You will work directly with the design and product teams to identify solutions and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- •You will tackle engineering challenges ranging from architecting data structures for mass data collection to presenting data analytics in intuitive and performant ways on web and mobile.
- •You will work on the critical infrastructure behind our React Native application.
- •Experience with similar technologies is strongly encouraged.
- •You will have the opportunity to participate in customer interviews, collaborate with customer success and product managers, and use metrics to ensure our work is translating into better customer outcomes.
