Job Description
A senior hardware systems engineer responsible for designing, developing, and managing the entire lifecycle of innovative high-volume hardware products, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver scalable and robust solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the entire product lifecycle for new, complex, high-volume hardware products from concept to mass production.
- Define and own the system architecture, including feasibility studies, specifications, validation, certification, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with customers and product management to develop innovative hardware solutions addressing real-world challenges.
- Manage technical partnerships with joint development manufacturing (JDM) partners to ensure alignment, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Lead system design decisions related to chipset selection, power management, RF performance, thermal management, sensor integration, and PCB design.
- Oversee hardware development processes, including prototyping, validation, field testing, and system-level debugging.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a key driver shipping high-volume scale hardware programs, demonstrating end-to-end ownership in partnership with JDM and ODM collaborators.
- Experience in low power design, battery technology, and optimization.
- Proficiency in wireless communications including LTE, 5G, BLE, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
- Experience with embedded processing, AI ML acceleration, and imaging systems.
- Deep, proven expertise in systems design across diverse use cases such as automotive, industrial, and outdoor environments, leveraging a mix of technologies.
- A track record of navigating complex tradeoffs between performance, design elegance, manufacturability, and cost, resulting in successful, scaled products.
- Expertise in product bring-up, system-level debug, and comprehensive validation including desense, power analysis, and performance testing.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $232,000 - $290,000 USD annually
Work schedule: Hybrid position with three days in-office and two days remote per week
