Job Description
The Program Manager for the Sales Engineering Team at Samsara is responsible for developing and managing programs that enhance team collaboration, drive product launches, and improve operational efficiency, ultimately supporting the company's mission to transform physical operations through IoT technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and oversee programs that enable the Sales Engineering team to effectively bring connected operations technology to customers
- Partner with senior leadership to plan, budget, and deliver operational programs for the Global Sales Engineering team
- Collaborate with Strategic Finance on financial planning, revenue forecasting, and cost efficiency for new product launches
- Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to develop interconnected go-to-market strategies
- Lead strategic projects related to new product releases to support long-term growth
- Analyze market, industry, and customer feedback to inform investment decisions and guide organizational strategy
- Develop business cases and operational plans to grow new product performance
- Present insights and strategies to leadership on market expansion and product development
- Work with enablement teams on talent management and technical training for Sales Engineers
- Ensure Sales Engineers can deliver high-quality technical sales demonstrations across the product portfolio
Requirements
- A passion for new technologies, especially as they apply to the Industrial IoT space
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 7.5 years of experience in Consulting, Finance, Business Operations, Sales Strategy Operations or other analytical roles
- Experience driving comprehensive organizational strategy via centralized reporting, including project status and process health
- Experience building processes and enablement strategies resulting in measurable increases in organizational productivity and efficiency
- A firm understanding of business process automation, and experience driving cross-functional initiatives to completion
- Exposure to working directly with prospects and or customers in a pre-sales or customer success capacity
- Experience designing and implementing New Product Release Cycle programs and processes (preferred)
- The ability to deliver complex B2B systems integration projects and workflows
- Experience with data integrity, data quality, data migration and data maintenance
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Familiarity with LMS
- Familiarity with AI tools
